BlueSky Bluegrass Club
Up & Strummin' Events

Hi Folks:

Getting back to all you pickers with the plans for our Anniversary outdoor party and music jam on August 20.

I think we will start the day off with our customary jam in which every picker will do a couple of songs in a row, accompanied by those who are present in the jam circle.  This part of the day will start up around 12:30pm to 1:00pm.

Then, starting around 2:00pm, we will feature the following groups who will be playing for 4 to 6 songs by themselves with bandmates of their own selection:

Mary Lou and Rob

Dave Bartwick & Howe Thomas

TeeCal & the BlueSky Bluegrass Band

Bill Perry & Friends

Mike Bimm & 61 Pickup

Andre, Vince, Mary Lou & Friends

Together, we should all have a good time just Pickin`and Grinnin, and I`d like to introduce you to the following youtube clips that demonstrate the evolution of a great western song, from Big Band, to Country, and on to BlueGrass:

enjoy, teecal

Best Regards, and Keep Pickin' and Grinnin'

Please support this call to keep Bluegrass Junction on the SiriusXM satellite radio channel network, even if you do not have satellite radio or use it, and kindly excuse me if I have already sent this request to you from the BlueSky Bluegrass Club ....

I just signed the petition, "Powers that be at SIRIUS XM RADIO: KEEP BLUEGRASS JUNCTION ON SIRIUS RADIO!."
I think this is important. Will you sign it too?

Here is a link to a great website where folks can go online and play along with recorded music as a backing track while they can provide the lead instrumentation and vocals. It is a great place to learn some new tunes and play along at a pace that suits anyone from novice to old-timer, with the added feature of being able to slowdown the music so that the music can be learned
